Rosalia Vila also known as Rosalia is an Spanish Pop/Flamenco performer. When she was a teenager she was involved with traditional as well as popular music. But, her musical interests have expanded to include hip-hop and soul. Pepe Haichuela, a flamenco guitar and well-known musician, has described the voice of the new artist as sassy and sweet but with bite. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist the follow-up album for 2018 El Mal Querer was a huge commercial and critical hit that topped the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and ultimately getting the Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd, was released in 2021. The third album by Motomami featured songwriting collaborations with numerous producers and artists such as Cory Henry and James Blake. The album was released in on March 20, 2022 following an Saturday Night Live performance featuring the song Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia is the first Spanish artist to perform solo on the show. Motomami was the only female in history to be the recipient of the Latin Album of the Year two times, as well as three Latin Grammy Awards.
